About the Watch:

This Universal Aero-Compax is a real time capsule with rarely seen aesthetics, a large size for its period and most noticeably, its faded ghost dial which turned into a mysterious “tropical grey”. A pilots watch that was sourced directly from the first owners family. Best part is, the grand-father was surprise-surprise, an airline pilot. A watch worthy of the nickname “Pirate-Compax”, reminding me of a salvaged treasure from the Black Pearl…

The Aero-Compax is one of the more unusual models produced by the conservative maker, Universal Genève. The one you see here is an older example from the 1940s with four subsidiary dials. The most interesting one is the second time display at noon, while the other three serve as subsidiary-seconds and chronograph registers. This upper register allows to input a specific time and keep it as reference, the hands are indeed only moving from the action of the left crown.

Strapped on our fine Nosville hermes-type taupe leather and patek-type steel buckle, this watch will definitely be a conversation piece at your next dinner gala, holidays with friends or a watch collector’s get-together.
